MADE IN ITALY IN COMMUNICATION

Here we are once again on the Cote D’Azur, at Cannes Lions, the world’s most important and unmissable festival of communication, held in the Palais des Festivals and along the legendary Croisette from 17th to 24th June. We are here as always with this special insert/dossier Genius, written in both Italian and English, and published with Media Key and Tv Key Annual, the issue dedicated to production companies, post-production facilities and service companies for television and advertising, as well as music production companies and film commissions. The international issue’s cover features Amaro del Capo and its agency Publione. Amaro del Capo, a liqueur made by Distelleria Caffo, is an Italian brand which has achieved notable success thanks also to the agency’s creative work in its communication. The brand has now become leader in sales to the mass market distribution network, as well as exporting to various countries, including the United States,South America, Germany and Canada. The integrated campaign hinges on the claim ‘Freeze Your Moment’, and is based on the frozen consumption of the product, with specific spots airing on the principal TV networks and internet, with press and with visibility on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. We also feature two of the greatest stars of Made in Italy, Giorgio Armani and Nicoletta Spagnoli. The king of Italian fashion needs no introduction, and equally celebrated is the woman whose remarkable creative energy changed the image of women’s clothing. We also talk about individuals in communication who have attracted our attention with their recent notable work, and whom we have interviewed in the following pages. These are: agency Red Robiglio e Dematteis, with their striking new work methodology; Peperoncino Studio, a production company who works full-circle at 360 degrees (film production, post-production, audio and music production); film director, still photographer and founder of Zerotabletop Paolo Gandola; Los Angeles-based Italian film director Pietro Coppolecchia, with a solid body of work behind him for major brands as well as short films; XLR8, the post facility led by Agostino Pellegrino and Danilo Torchia; and finally the association Unapost. Completing the international issue is a feature on Branded Entertainment and in particular on Elena Grinta, general managerof OBE (Branded Entertainment Observatory), in conversationabout her recent book, as well as interviews with a number ofCannes Film Jury members, namely Andreas Pauli (Germany),Adrian Rossi (UK), Elissa Singstock (Netherlands) and Josephine Wallin (Sweden), and bios of all the jury members.
